The Dutch crowdfunding market experienced further growth in the first half of 2025. The total amount raised was €780 million in the first six months, confirming the structural development of crowdfunding as a form of financing. This growth continues the trend of 2024, when the market grew by almost 20% to a total of €1.14 billion.

Market distribution and concentration

The crowdfunding market is characterised by increasing concentration among the largest platforms. The four largest platforms together account for approximately 80% of the total market volume. Within this group, Crowdrealestate, the fourth largest platform, achieved a financing volume of €62.7 million in the first half of 2025.

The real estate segment is an important part of the Dutch crowdfunding market. The continuing demand for different types of real estate provides a stable basis for real estate financing through crowdfunding.

Regulation and professionalisation

The implementation of the European Crowdfunding Service Providers Regulation (ECSPR) has led to a uniform regulatory framework within the sector. This regulation offers additional protection for investors and contributes to the further professionalisation of crowdfunding platforms.

Outlook

Developments in the first half of 2025 confirm the structural growth of crowdfunding as an alternative form of financing. This trend is expected to continue for the rest of 2025, with the total financing volume for 2025 expected to reach 1.5 billion.
